First off, let me explain that i am not a fanatic "green" eco person. I believe in green tech and that we as humans need to change our lifestyle, especially here in America. We are a consumer society have eats away at everything. Furthermore, I am a 20 year old that drives a 65 mustang that has a motor in it that gets less than 8 mpg. I am responding because i found this website during research for one of my classes. so please dont try and label me as such. Furthermore!, the issue of climate change, is a scientific one, not a political one. So dont dont sit there and say to yourself, "This kid is brainwashed Democratic hippy freak!" I cant stand politicians, though government is necessary for a civilized country, if you can call us civilized. I warn you, this thread will be long. And if you have any respect for learning all sides and points to an issue, and you believe that common sense and logic are important, then read this whole thing. Dont just brush it aside or delete this from the sire because you dont agree with my opinions.

Now in response to gloriya's incoherent dribble about CO2.

YOU ARE WRONG!!!! CO2 is a MAJOR player in the greenhouse gas effect on our planet. Your are right that water (H2O) is part of the chain in the greenhouse gas makeup. So is Nitrogen and sulfer bearing gases.
Now, let first look at how we get an atmosphere. There are 3 main ways. The first and most prominent for our planets beginning as well as Venus and Mars is througha process called Outgassing. This is caused by the eruptions from volcanoes. We have volcanoes because the terrestrial planets are built primarily of metal and rock. Thus, as the core of our planet produces energy and the convection zones carry this energy to the surface, we sometimes get material and the like built up under the surface. and then it pops like a giant pimple. the gases released into the surrounding area go through different phases and to make this already long story short, it creates an atmosphere. (if you would to know exactly how this works, read an ACADEMIC book or article on the subject if you know how to use anything but the internet for your research, and not wikipedia).

Now the secong major way we get Atmospheric gases is through Evaporation/Sublimation. As the new atmosphere condenses, it can create liquids or ice. and as the planet goes through its phases of heating and cooling due to solar brightening, axis tilt, and reflectivity it will evaporate some of those liquids.
The third major way is through what is known as surface ejection. But it doesnt play as huge a role as the first two because we have such a thick atmosphere. But there is nothing else that comes to close to these three in producing the atmosphere seen on the the 4 terrestrial planets that are in our solar system.

Now let us look at how the greenhouse gas effect works. Visible light from the Sun passes through our 4 layers of the atmosphere and is absorbed by the ground. This energy though MUST be returned to space. The planet does this through thermal radiation. However, this thermal radiation usually is emitted in infrared light. These gases are temporarily blocked as they are returned. The gases that are extremely good at blocking the infrared light are CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2), WATER VAPOR (H20), AND METHANE (CH4). So lets break it down.
1. Visible light passes through the atmosphere and is absorbed.
2. The planet sends back this energy as infrared light.
3. The gases, as mentioned above, redirect the path of this energy, THUS KEEPING IT IN THE ATMOSPHERE FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME.

Now lets get down to the real business - that is, that the title and overall philosophy of this website is built upon a foundation that is no stronger than egg being hit by a 20 ton earth moving vehicle!
The site claims that man made GLOBAL WARMING is a myth. Now, global warming in itself, as a phrase is totally wrong. Its actually CLIMATE CHANGE. And the planet has been going through these cycles since is beginning. Now, please explain to me how the human population can not make inpact on our environment when we have days where the media tells us to STAY INDOORS BECAUSE ITS TO DANGEROUS TO GO OUTSIDE AND BREATHE! Are these warnings a myth too?!?!!? Are the instruments that human ingenuity created based on false principles and that our everything we know is not what is seems! If I throw a rock in a pond, does it not displace the water and cause a a splash and ripple affect! How can people such as yourselves and millions of others go about thinking that we have no impact at all! We build massive cities with machines that produce chemicals and gases that match the very same that are in the atmosphere! So why in the world would these "newly introduced gases" not act in the same way as the ones that provided an atmosphere for life on Earth? I dont understand your attempt at logic and commen sense. Everything we do influences the environment around us! The universe is bound by specific laws. With these laws, we have discoverd a great many things that have lead to awesome and even terrifying results. So why now, in these times, are people like you subconsciously and consciously deciding that the rules of how the materials and matter and life itself work in some aspects and not in others. No, we dont know everything there is to know, but thus far in our research of the universe there seems specific constants that we have built our lives around and species around.

i hope you people can step back and really see what you are supporting. Please do your own research! I am right about everything, HELL NO!!! I am still young and have much to learn. But on this topic, there is no reason to support a such as this website offers. We have impacted the planet. It pretty obvious. I do apologize if i sounded extremely harsh and demeaning. It is only my intentions to speak what i have researched and found to be true. This research is of the utmost credibilty and i have chosen to accept it.
