Solar Activity, the cause of all global warming.

The graph above shows the global temperature anomaly since 1979 (blue) and CO2 levels (fuchsia). There is no correlation between CO2 levels and temperatures. There are very strong historic correlations between solar activity and temperatures. Right now our sun is experiencing very mild solar activity, so expect cooler temperatures! The sun image shows current sun spot activity, it is a near real time NASA image (SOHO MDI Latest Image). Click here for an enlarged view from NASA.GOV.

I thought everyone already knew that the modern environmental movement had its roots in the "Green Wing" of the Nazi Party.

It is easy enough to visit CPUSA to learn that the majority of the Progressive's ideas came from Communism.

Hitler was a socialist
08 Sep : 12:27
To the last Anonymous: Have you heard of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (National-Sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei--NSDAP)? That was Hitler's political party. They were known as the Nazis.

During the war Hitler suspended many "rights", as do most governments during time of war. But Hitler was a right wing socialist and his beliefs were much the same as that of the modern day socialist liberals.

Its funny that Hitler came to power due to the hard economic times following the depression. Using fear and promises of a better life for the people of Germany. Much the same thing as "hope and change" Obama. Hitler blamed the Jews, Obama blames the Christians. Scary.

Liberal is a stolen word by the left just as progressive is a stolen word by the left, on the left you have the various forms of Marxism, they are socialists, fascists, nazis, communists, then the happy words the try to hide behind, Liberal, Progressive, Social Democrats,
Progressive Democrats,
Democrats, last but not least,
Environmentalist.

you don't have a clue on this earth about politics.

Maxing out @ 60 PPM is pretty much common knowledge. What part of quantum physics am i violating? As I asked before, how does AGW fit into the medieval warming period? I'll answer, it doesn't. Therefore it had to be something else. Right. Do you follow? Something like the sun and/or storms thereon, cosmic rays, etc. CO2 had nothing to do with it. Period. End of story. The only constant in nature is change. Live with it.

If there is no greenhouse effect, and water vapor, co2, methane and other greenhouse gasses don't warm up the atmosphere, then why isn't the earth the same temperature as space???

I'd love to hear you explain that one!

07 Sep : 17:54
the effects of co2 max out? that goes against physics. Are you trying to re-write the laws of thermal dynamics and quantum physics?

we all know that the earth has been warmer and cooler in the past. that does not disprove the physics of thermal dynamics.

you should write a book about everything you know about thermal dynamics. It would be a short and hysterical read.

where do you come up with this nonsense?

The left murdered, it is estimated, over 150 million people last century. That's not counting the millions who died from malaria due to the DDT hoax. How much is to much Anon??
all the CO2 makes up only 1 10th of 1 percent of our total atmosphere, man made CO2, that "the evil CO2" according to you makes up only 1 20th of that!!
The amount of CO2 and radiation you warmist keep hanging on to up in the stratosphere is crazy, that's 20 miles up and then you keep telling me that radiation comes back down through the commercial air traffic at 35,000 feet that happens to be around minus 45 degrees F.!!

And still has the ability to warm up the planet??

and gore has nothing to do the the science of global warming. He did not make up the physics that occurs when we add pollution to this world.

once again, you confuse science with politics.

co2 absorbs radiation. more co2 creates a warmer environment. We have the technology to measure the difference between naturally occurring co2 and co2 induced by man. we have measured it. we know what man has caused and what we have not. and of course we continue to learn more. but the more we learn, the more we find the science to say the same thing.

RGB - I think anon & err (likely the same person) are kids playing on the board spouting "progressive" talking points. They feel that FOX is owned by Saudis who fund terror with oil $. The Saudi that has FOX shares, Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, owns them through his Kingdom Holding Company who has ownership in many US companies. Gosh I didn't realize that by buying an Apple I-Phone or going to Disney World I was funding terrorism. Anyway News Corp went "green" in 2006 and accepted global warming as fact.

The less drilling the higher the price of oil.
The only problem is that the enviros and govt. regulation have made drilling in the U.S. to expensive. Even though oil reserves in the U.S. land mass have the same amounts of oil that the Gulf has.
It would be much safer to drill on land then in deep water.

Reviewing Climate Change and Cap and Trade Programs to Insure Investor Protection

We all know that the artificial construct known as "cap and trade" is nothing more than a fraud to get companies to pay more taxes. It will have very little, to no, impact on CO2 levels, much less global warming.

We are all entitled to our own opinions. I have no idea how old you are. But, about twnty-five years ago, the big news story was about GLOBAL COOLING. We were distroying our planet and we were all going to die if we didn't change our lifestyles AND give the government more taxes to combat this global cooling. It's my opinion that the climate moves in cycles. We have cycles of cooling, warming, floods, droubt, snow, storms, etc. It's all about cycles. If you know of a climate period that is not cyclic, please educate me on it. I am very open minded.

There is limited evidence for warming from my prospective, but warming may be happening. But we need more time and data to conclude this.

Any CO2 decreases will negatively impact food production and groth growth as well as all vegetation growth on the planet, this is indisputable. High CO2 levels increase vegetation growth patterns, which I believe is positive.

I do not dispute that people affect the climate. I do dispute that the affects are negative. We do not live in a vacuum.

Cap and Trade is just a way of keeping the "wall street traders" in the game for the tax scheme. Since they will be the only group to profit from "cap and trade".

Talk sense folks.

If you follow the money trail, you will see that cap and trade is nothing more than socialism by the back door; a scheme to enrich a few at the expence of many. Billions of dollars to be made off unproven scientific theory touted as fact, while we follow these orwellian pied pipers right off the edge of the climate cliff. If governments really wanted to enrich the lives of it's citizens, then they would encourage honest debate on this rather contentious issue. They would not resort to invective and innuendo as a means to promote their climate psychosis, their ultimate goal being the decimation of the industrialized world's economies, the transfer of economic wealth to under developed nations, and a return to pre-industrial times so we can all live in harmony with mother earth. It has been said, "the louder the protest, the greater the guilt", and if we are not careful we will find ourselves on the last train to Willoughby; and all we will be left with is a fantasy than never begets reality.

Rush Limbaugh is an idiot because......... I remember thinking that when I was a liberal college student. I thought that because that is what the main stream media told me to believe, it is what my college teachers told me to believe, etc. etc.

Then I actually listened to the Mr. Limbaugh and did some research. Turns out Rush is correct on many things.

Because a government (which spends the money on the country as a whole, and keep it running) 'stealing' money off some multinational global corporations is very bad. Sure.
The fact is, the main people who say global warming is a hoax, and have been saying so before it was popular, happen to be the OIL COMPANIES. You can't have an oil selling business without someone using oil, and you can't have using oil without releasing some CO2 into the atmosphere I mean, come on, you don't believe OJ Simpson was innocent just because he said so (he had the means, motive, and masses upon masses of evidence showing he did kill his wife). Oil companies have hired scientists etc to "find" some "evidence" that global warming is a hoax, and this just happens to coincide with their aims. Let's face it, these are both the same thing happening. Money being used to escape the consequences of actions.

Yes, the oil companies do spend money to prove that global warming is a hoax. But Al Gore and all his friends in the green energy club spend money to prove that global warming is actually happening. Both sides have a huge money train. They do the same thing except the coal companies research is based an actual science.

The mission of most governments is to take as much money from its citizens as possible while keeping its citizens ignorant of its actons. The United States government is very skilled at this task. It takes from its citizens when they make money. It takes from its citizens when they save money. It takes from its citizens when they spend money. Most of us are in a no win situation. It also takes from its citzens when they buy land. It takes from its citizens even after the purchase is complete in the form of property taxes. Can anyone reading this name one thing that a citizen can do in the United States to produce wealth for his family without the government taking from him? What gives the government the right to take a percentage of EVERYTHING we do? Shouldn't we have the right and freedom to produce wealth without the government taking or even knowing EVERYTHING we make? What if we all paid taxes based on our citizenship not our earnings? What if the government was not allowed to give our money away to other countries? I think that we could function well within our means if the government didn't waste our taxes and over spend. MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING, in my opinion, is just another brilliant plan for governments to have an excuse to raise taxes and TAKE from its citizens.

You are 100% correct. The average citizen can do nothing to create wealth without the government taxing him.(in effect punishing) Support the Fair Tax. It is the same for all citizens of the United States.

Whether anthropogenic global warming is junk science or not, creating a global CO2 emissions derivatives market would be a great way to address the world’s two most pressing problems: (1) peak oil and (2) financial debt, trade and currency meltdown; (1) continue to feed 6 billion people post-peak oil by artificially diverting fossil fuels to fertilizer through emissions derivatives market exemptions, and (2) balance trade post fiat dollar as a reserve currency by forcing the exporting BRICs to use their profits to pay the West and the third world for their industrial CO2 emissions.

All this is, is the goverment is using this subject to draw people in to scam them. Some folks are taken in hook, line, and sinker. The earth and sun all run in cycles. The climate runs in cycles it has from the begining and it will from now on. Man cannot control it, but as it appears can make a profit from it. Come on people think for your selfs for once. The ice cap is not melting and the rain forest grows so fast that it almost cannot be controled. The president has an aginda, one that was not talked about when he suckered the nation into voting him in to the presidency. Cap and
Trade is not about global warming, its about global wealth redistribution.

My supposition is that the promotion of the junk science of anthropogenic global warming combined with the creation of a global emissions derivatives market is essentially a lame punt by some western “internationalists” to maintain control through finance before a more multi-polar ascendancy of regions, nations and ethnicities takes that control away from them amidst the looming world problems of peak oil and western nation debt driven financial meltdowns. Perhaps this is the third centennial attempt at the RedShield’s “new world order” or Kipling’s “brave new world” from his 1919 peom: The Gods of the Copybook Headings.
Whether anthropogenic global warming is junk science or not, creating a global CO2 emissions derivatives market might address the world’s two most pressing problems: (1) peak oil and (2) financial debt, trade and currency meltdown. First, continue to feed 6 billion people post-peak oil by artificially diverting fossil fuels to fertilizer through emissions derivatives market exemptions, and, second, balance trade post fiat dollar as a reserve currency by forcing the exporting industrialized nations to use their profits to pay the West and the third world for their industrial CO2 emissions. Agricultural exemptions aside, the west and the third world would reduce consumption and CO2 emissions, and then the west and the third world would get paid when the exporting CO2 emitting countries, such as Brazil Russia India and China lose their sweetheart deals under the Kyoto treaty and find that their industries emit lots of CO2. Those exporters essentially pay the west and the third world for emissions derivatives with profits from all the stuff they produce and ship to the west, thus taking the place of T-bills and the dollar as a reserve currency insofar as the derivatives traded back to the exporters would thereby balance global trade.
If the plan works, then global trade is balanced, lots of western banking interests continue to make lots of profits in the new “market” and we get to keep shopping for cheap stuff at Wal-mart, just not quite as much as before because of the emissions exemptions to divert dwindling fossil fuel supplies to fertilizer and agriculture. And the party rolls on.
But if the plan doesn’t work, say, because the exporting nations are finished trading real stuff for little pieces of paper (whether they’re called T-Bills or emissions derivatives) and the exporting nations can’t be forced to do so by the global chorus that includes the non-emitting third world sensing a hand-out, then things go badly for everyone in the west. The west, having passed national versions like “cap and trade” hobbles its economies and continues to enrich bankers while going bankrupt. Trade is not balanced. Currencies and national debt are still an issue. The added cost of the derivatives to factories continues to accelerate the de-industrialization of America. And the west, along with third world, may press against the exporting BRICs in ways that could lead to world conflict.

Whats it all about? What else.....

The UN's motivation.

Jacques Chirac, EU environment minister, said back in 2000 : "Cap and trade is the first component of an authentic global governance".
He also admitted that the global version of cap and trade is: "About the economy and leveling the playing field for big businesses worldwide".

Obama and the Liberal controlled congress and senate's motivations.

The Heritage Foundation's, the Foundry says: "Obama's own budget promises to raise $650 billion in revenues by selling carbon permits (which are the exact same thing as an energy tax), only $150 billion of which will go to alternative energy production. The rest will be redistributed to people who don't pay income taxes."

Since Al Gore has 8+ million invested in a carbon certificate brokerage he stands to get some of the 17.875 Billion dollars a year off the 2.75% commission for the USA alone, every year.

The USA citizen's motivation to see that carbon cap and trade does not become law.

"The bill would cause estimated yearly job losses averaging about 1.15 million from 2012-2030, and the cumulative projected loss in gross domestic product would be almost $10 trillion by 2035. The national debt from this bill alone, disregarding the multiple bailouts, stimulus packages and health care 'reform,' would increase by 2035 for a family of four by 26 percent, or $115,000." - Ben Lieberman the Heritage Foundation

Quotes about the science involved:

"Warming fears are the worst scientific scandal in history...When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists." - UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist

"It is a blatant lie put forth in the media that makes it seem there is only a fringe of scientists who don't buy into anthropogenic global warming." - U.S. Atmospheric Scientist Stanley B. Goldenberg of the Hurricane Research Division of NOAA.

I don't have to say anything that others have said before.

Cap & Trade is hijacking the energy industry to pay for government control of resources and confiscate private property. The Dept of Energy produces no Energy justs wastes taxpayer money on studies and schemes. No Nuclear Energy plant has been built in 30 years. The cleanest and most reliable energy is being held hostage by EPA bureaucrats and radical environmentalists.

Here are four articles that , debunk GW caused by CO2expose the panacea of alternate energies debunk the hoax of global warming and climate change caused by manmade CO2 and show the immediate application of mini-Nuclear Energy.

Official government measurements show that the world’s temperature has cooled a bit since reaching its most recent peak in 1998.

That’s given global warming skeptics new ammunition to attack the prevailing theory of climate change. The skeptics argue that the current stretch of slightly cooler temperatures means that costly measures to limit carbon dioxide emissions are ill-founded and unnecessary.

Proposals to combat global warming are “crazy” and will “destroy more than a million good American jobs and increase the average family’s annual energy bill by at least $1,500 a year,” the Heartland Institute, a conservative research organ

SOME species of Australian birds are shrinking and the trend will likely continue because of global warming, a scientist said.

Janet Gardner, an Australian National University biologist, led a team of scientists who measured museum specimens to plot the decline in size of eight species of Australian birds over the past century.

The research, published last week in the British journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, found the birds in Australia’s southeast had become between 2 per cent to 4 per cent smaller.

Seems to me that the SSRC are just as guilty of wanting to make money from climate change as those they deride.

"The Mission: The SSRC has been established to provide its clients and the general public with independent science research on important subjects which requires unbiased, authoritative, high value, scientific and engineering assessments." (from the SSRC website)

How is this different from people wanting to trade carbon certificates - just another vested interest group who should be treated with the same scepticism as any other, be it Al Gore or Greenpeace

"An important prediction available from the RC Theory states that there will be a major drop in the Sun's activity measured by an historic reduction in sunspots and other indicators of the Sun's behavior. Accompaning this lower state of the output by the Sun, will be a prolonged cold era according to the SSRC. The SSRC refers to this dramatic change in climate as a 'solar hibernation' because of the depths of cold that are associated with it based upon many hundreds of years of repeating cycles with similar recorded cold eras, as discovered by the SSRC." (SSRC website)

In light of the above anyone care to have ago at explaining this then (5th highest July combined temperatures with warmest ocean temperatures on record in 2009)

We need to pass Cap and Trade because in the past 100 years the avg temp has risen 1.3 degrees. 1.3? Oohh... I'm shaking in my boots. Given current trends CO2 emissions might cause an additional temp rise of 1-2 degrees in the next century. I am absolutely terrified that a 3.3 degree temp rise over 2 centuries is going to cause significant harm to Earth.

So the only way to fight this global cacacracy is to produce wealth and refuse to pay taxes, what are they going to do, shoot me, not if a billion people do the same. remove ourselves from the grid and grow our own food teach in our own schools and not pay taxes sounds like the 1930's only now we have the technology to make it work. wonder if we can build a reactor or two?
